Matt Roberts
Matt holds a B.S. in Environmental Science with a minor in Biology from the University of Iowa. He is an ISA Certified Arborist (IW-0032A) and holds the ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification. Additionally, He is a certified pesticide applicator, registered in Iowa across four categories: Ornamental, Forestry, Right-of-Way, and Aquatics.
Matt grew up in Burlington, Iowa, the hometown of Aldo Leopold, a pioneer of conservation and ecological awareness. While he wasn’t initially in the natural resource business, his deep connection to the outdoors was shaped from an early age. He developed a love for exploring nature, learning about the Earth, and understanding the vital roles that plants—like trees, corn, and soybeans—play in our everyday lives here in Iowa. He’s always had a natural curiosity, eager to experience new things and solve any challenges that come my way. Whether it’s problem-solving or working hard to get the job done, he approaches everything with determination and a passion for learning.
Jonny Turner
Jonny is passionate about tree work because it presents a unique and rewarding challenge. There’s a perfect blend of skill and strategy involved, from navigating varying terrain and working around structures to the precision required for climbing, rigging, and safely felling a tree. He loves the artistry of tree care—how, with the right technique, you can shape and groom a tree, transforming it into a stunning work of nature. And there’s something truly satisfying about achieving the perfect level of sharpness on a saw, allowing it to slice through wood effortlessly, no matter the size. It’s the combination of craftsmanship, precision, and problem-solving that makes tree work so exciting and fulfilling.
